It was a steamy night in Georgia (actually it was a cold evening in DC and the smell of cigarettes filled the room but back then who knew the dangers of second-hand smoke?) when they met. She, a dame from England, he, a damn Yankee. Their eyes locked as they gazed at one another for what seemed an eternity. Finally, he spoke. "Anytime you need anything crazy, give me a call" [he was an odd man]. A week later the phone rang. "Make me a big Willie" came the request. He was on it like a tacky decal (or in laymen's terms, a cheap suit) and in no time at all, Willie was born (actually he had to work up sketches, create a model, source the materials, book a DC6 and do about 100 other things to get the job done, but this is the condensed version, so let's leave it at that).
